On May 9, 2013, Murdoch unveiled the new logo. On June 28, the split was made complete. On December 14, 2017, The Walt Disney Company announced its intent to acquire 21st Century Fox's entertainment assets. The deal was approved on July 27, 2018, with the acquisition completed on March 20, 2019; the rest of the Fox assets (namely Fox's broadcast and cable stations aside from FX, among others) were spun off into a new company called Fox Corporation.
