Background
51 Pictures was founded in January 2004 by Cris Abrego as a continuation of Brass Ring Entertainment. Shortly afterwards, the company merged with Mark Cronin's Mindless Entertainment to create 51 Minds Entertainment, although Abrego and Cronin kept their independent companies alive until 2008.
Logo (January 11, 2004-July 8, 2007)
Visuals: The number "51 " flips onto the screen, and then "PICTURES " enters letter-by-letter in the same way. A curvy black line slides downwards off the screen. The screen that holds "51 " imitates an old countdown screen. The background does the same thing.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: The noise of an old projector and an old-timey jingle that plays in the background.
Availability: Seen on the WB (season 2)/VH1 (seasons 3-6) era of The Surreal Life and season 1 of Charm School (titled Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School).
