Background
6 Point Harness is an American animation studio that was founded in 2003 by Brendan Burch in Los Angeles, California.
6 Point Harness
1st Logo (June 10-July 29, 2006)
Logo: On a red background with fire, a large bug-like creature comes up from the bottom of the screen. A black transparent bar is seen with "SIX POINT HARNESS" on it, stacked with the text moving to their positions. Suddenly, the creature takes over the camera, shaking the scene. The whole scene then turns blue then zooms out and returns to normal color.
FX/SFX: The creature, the text, and the scene and color-changing.
Music/Sounds: Some BG noise followed by a loud thud sound.
Availability: Only seen on the short-lived MTV2 show Where My Dogs At?.
Editor's Note: This is a pretty scary logo, especially for children, suitable for the show it appears on.
2nd Logo (October 27-December 29, 2011)
Logo: In a red fuzzy background we see the text "6 point harness" in an 1980s front. Inside the circle of the number 6 is a seatbelt of the car. The word "STUDIOS" appears itself.
FX/SFX: The word "STUDIOS" appears.
Music/Sounds: Just the sound of the film projector.
Availability: Seen on MTV series, Good Vibes.
Editor's Note: The logo is pretty creative, especially for it's time.
3rd Logo (2013-2015)
Logo: On a gray background, a red belt streaks. We zoom in and more red belts streak, eventually filling the screen red when the screen zooms to one of the belts. The 6 Point Harness logo from the second logo forms on the red background before zooming in slightly.
Variant: There exists a short version starting with the text forming.
FX/SFX: The belts and the 6 Point Harness logo forming, and the zooming. For the short version, just the text forming and the zooming.
Music/Sounds: The opening theme of the film or none.
Availability: Rare. Only seen on Dick Figures: The Movie and the failed pilot of Everstar.
Editor's Note: A wasted logo, as it was only used on one film.
4th Logo (2016-2017)
Logo: On a black background with blue smoke, a bright flash emits from inside the "6" of the 6 Point Harness logo that was used from the previous two logos, which looks retro and is orange. The flash dies down which reveals that the flash came from the belt inside the "6". Underneath the logo has the text "SIX POINT HARNESS" in a different font and in the same color as the logo.
FX/SFX: The flash and the smoke in the background.
Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show.
Availability: Rare. Seen on Apollo Gauntlet.
Editor's Note: This logo kind of resembles the old Ruby-Spears Productions logo, especially the texture.
5th Logo (April 1, 2020-)
Logo: On a black background, we see the drawn lines in a flashing effect and it zooms in to reveal the same 6Ph logo with the same one from the previous three logos. Then the word "SIX POINT HARNESS" in the same text from the previous logo appears underneath.
Variant: On Tig Notaro: Dawn the logo is still.
FX/SFX: The logo forming and the background.
Music/Sounds: None.
Availability: Seen on season 2 of Lazor Wulf and the HBO special Tig Notaro: Dawn.
6point2
Background
6point2 is a division of 6 Point Harness and the only known show that it created was Fresh Beat Band of Spies.
(June 15, 2015-February 24, 2016)
Logo: Same as the 3rd 6 Point Harness logo, except the text reads "6point2" and the whole animation is cut out except for the zooming.
FX/SFX: Same as the 3rd 6 Point Harness logo minus the animation.
Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the show.
Availability: Very rare as it is only seen on Fresh Beat Band of Spies (a spinoff of The Fresh Beat Band).
Editor's Note: Same as the 3rd 6 Point Harness logo, but instead it was used on only one TV show.
