===Background=== |

'''9Go!''' launched in 2009 as '''GO!''', the [[Nine Network]]'s first non-simulcast digital multichannel. The channel launched with a varied focus airing classic shows such as ''I Dream of Jeannie'', ''Bewitched'', ''Green Acres'' and ''Here's Lucy'' as well as kids programming ranging including modern cartoons such as ''Adventure Time'' and Hanna-Barbera classics. In 2014, the channel underwent its' first significant brand refresh. |
|||
In 2015, the channel was renamed to 9Go! as part of an initiative by the Nine Network to align the branding of its channels which also lead to [[9Gem|GEM]] becoming 9Gem. At the same time, the channel shifted from channel 99 to channel 93. 2016 saw the channel undergo a shift in programming, with much of the daytime schedule given to the new 9Go! Kids! block. Outside of daytime 9Go! maintains its original variety-based focus, albeit with a more youth-oriented slant. |

'''Visuals:''' There is the GO! logo of the time, a white letter G in a dark-colored box with an O and an exclamation mark with nothing behind it and in the same color as the box behind the G. The logo floats in a CGI "room" and bounces of the walls in a manner reminiscent of an old DVD screensaver. When the logo touches the wall squared "sparks" come off the logo where it touches the wall. |
|||
FX/SFX: The boxes fading in and sliding, the animations of the Columbia/TriStar logos in the boxes. |
|||
'''Variant:''' A variant was made to promote Windows 7, where the GO! logo switches with the Windows logo. |
|||
Music/Sounds: A singing trio (two females: one soprano & alto, and a male tenor) singing "TAKE HOLLYWOOD HOOOOOOOOOME!", or the opening theme of the trailer. |
|||
'''Technique:''' CGI. |
|||
Availability: Very rare. It was used only on some tapes released by the short-lived Columbia TriStar Family Collection, such as Real Genius, Willow, Ghostbusters (only some printings, others use the 3rd logo), The 5,000 Fingers of Dr. T., and The Adventures of Milo and Otis.The variant was seen on several domestic and international promos of home video releases by CTHV. Other tapes with this logo include Persuasion and Money Train. |
|||
'''Audio:''' A short electro-pop tune with a few "Go..." voice samples and a robotic female voice saying "Don't wanna let it go", inspired by the channel’s original theme song, "Go" by Noise International featuring Sharon Muscat. The full music video of this song would occasionally be played on the channel in its early days. |

|||
'''Technique:''' CGI. |
|||
'''Audio:''' A "Go" voice sample from the previous logo, followed by the same female voice saying "You won't wanna let it go!". The Christmas variant adds bells and a Santa voice saying "Ho ho ho!" in sync with the logo after the "Go". |

<u>Logo</u>: We start out against an tossy cloud background. Then a square with the footage of the 1993 Columbia Torch Lady in it fades in, and slides to the left, revealing a box with the footage of the 1993 TriStar Pegasus, which slides to the right. The words "COLUMBIA TRISTAR" appear above the boxes and "<span style="color:#003ea8">'''TELEVISION DISTRIBUTION'''</span>" on the bottom with "a SONY PICTURES ENTERTAINMENT company" below everything else. |

Background
9Go! launched in 2009 as GO!, the Nine Network's first non-simulcast digital multichannel. The channel launched with a varied focus airing classic shows such as I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, Green Acres and Here's Lucy as well as kids programming ranging including modern cartoons such as Adventure Time and Hanna-Barbera classics. In 2014, the channel underwent its' first significant brand refresh.
In 2015, the channel was renamed to 9Go! as part of an initiative by the Nine Network to align the branding of its channels which also lead to GEM becoming 9Gem.
1st ID (August 9, 2009-February 1, 2014)
Visuals: There is the GO! logo of the time, a white letter G in a dark-colored box with an O and an exclamation mark with nothing behind it and in the same color as the box behind the G. The logo floats in a CGI "room" and bounces of the walls in a manner reminiscent of an old DVD screensaver. When the logo touches the wall squared "sparks" come off the logo where it touches the wall.
Variant: A variant was made to promote Windows 7, where the GO! logo switches with the Windows logo.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A short electro-pop tune with a few "Go..." voice samples and a robotic female voice saying "Don't wanna let it go", inspired by the channel’s original theme song, "Go" by Noise International featuring Sharon Muscat. The full music video of this song would occasionally be played on the channel in its early days.
2nd ID (August 9, 2009-February 1, 2014)
Visuals: On a black and white background, a blue GO! logo turns around, then rises up surrounded with blue, red, green, yellow and pink sparks. It then spins around clockwise, fronting the camera.
Variant: During the Christmas season, the "GO!" logo is green and white rather than white and pink, and the text "GO! HO HO" pops up when it rises.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A "Go" voice sample from the previous logo, followed by the same female voice saying "You won't wanna let it go!". The Christmas variant adds bells and a Santa voice saying "Ho ho ho!" in sync with the logo after the "Go".
3rd ID (August 9, 2009-2011)
Visuals: On a black background is a cluster of CGI shards shifting around until they come together and form the GO! logo. The logo then deforms as the screen fades to black.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A different remix consisting of samples from the GO! theme song.
4th ID (August 9, 2009-February 1, 2014)
Visuals: The screen pans around the GO! logo as CGI sparks fall on the logo before smashing on the "ground" below the logo.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A short vocal tune based on "GO!" by Noise International featuring Sharon Muscat: "Take it back, you don't want that, you don't, you said that now you're going crazy, you're going crazy 'bout GO!"
5th ID (August 9, 2009-February 1, 2014)
Visuals: In a rectangular vortex similar to the 1980s DiC logo, shards similar to those seen in prior idents fly in. The GO! logo then comes in from the opposite end of the vortex. The shards fly into the logo which is then blasted backwards as the ident fades out.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: Yet another remix based on the GO! song.
6th ID (August 9, 2009-February 1, 2014)
Visuals: The screen is filled with blocky lights as a transparent GO! appears from various angles, ultimately zooming out quickly to settle in the center.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A short instrumental snippet of the channel's theme song, followed by the robotic female voice from the second ident.
7th ID (2010-February 1, 2014)
Visuals: Footage from the first and second idents is interspersed with live action dancers.
Trivia: The dancing clips in both variants are taken from the music video of "Go!" by Noise International featuring Sharon Muscat, the channel's original theme song.
Variant: A variant exists with different clips of dancers in neon.
Technique: Live-action footage mixed with clips from the first and second idents.
Audio: A remixed excerpt of the GO! theme song.
8th ID (February 2, 2014-)
Visuals: The new Go! logo in variousl colours spiral around forming snake-like shapes. Finally, a zoom out through one of the logo "tunnels" reveals a big pink/purple "Go!".
Variants:
- In the Christmas season, the logo is green throughout rather than multi-coloured and the Go logo at the end switches to "Ho!", ending with a shot reading the "GO! Ho! Ho!" slogan similar to the 2009 ident.
- A variant exists where the logo is intercut with clips from Top Gear.
- In 2015, both the regular and Christmas variants were updated to use the 9Go! logo. A short version was also made for this variant.
Technique: CGI.
Audio:
- 2014-present (regular): A short dubstep tune with various voice samples.
- Christmas variant: Same as the standard version, but with Christmas bells added and a female voice saying “Go, ho, ho” replacing “Go, go, go” near the end.
- 2015-present (short): A shortened version of the 10th logo's music.
9th ID (February 2, 2014-November 25, 2015, 2016-)
Visuals: Just the GO! logo appearing from different angles in different colours.
Variants:
- There are variants where the logo is intercut with clips from a show broadcast on the channel. So far, the following variants are confirmed to exist:
- Looney Tunes (exists as 5-second, 10-second and 15-second variants)
- Kids WB Australia (exists as 10-second and 15-second variants)
- The Big Bang Theory (exists as 10-second variant)
- The Middle (exists as 5-second and 10-second variants. There is also a secondary 10-second variant with different clips)
- Top Gear (exists as 10-second and 15-second variants)
- A shortened version also exists.
Technique: CGI.
Audio:
- 2014-2015: A shortened version of the channel’s then-current theme song. The full version can be heard in this promo. Long show variants have an extended intro and “I wanna go where you are” is additionally repeated at the end.
- 2014-2015 (short): A different clip of the theme song with just “Go” voice samples. This is not used in short show variants, as they use a shortened version of the standard music instead.
- 2016-present: Same as the 8th ident.
Availability: Despite a brief disappearance following the 9Go! rebrand, this ident was re-instated in 2016, having been updated to feature the new logo.
10th ID (February 2, 2014-November 25, 2015)
Visuals: The screen zooms through a triangular vortex similar to the previous idents. Silhouette dancers are seen throughout as the screen zooms past the words "GO", "For" and "IT" in the same font as the logo. The screen then zooms up to the logo itself.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A short electronic tune with various voice samples.
Availability: The last time it was seen was on the regional feed of 9Go! in 2016.
