1st Logo (July 8, 2005-September 15, 2006)

Visuals: It depends on the movie, but there are footages of a live-action school setting, with a black tape containing the then-current A&E logo, with the text "IndieFilms" next to it.

Variants:

  • There are several different versions of the logo, depending on the movie.
  • It comes in long and short versions.

Technique: Live-action/stop motion animation.

Audio: A rock/guitar theme.

Availability: Seen on movies such as Jesus Camp and Rock School.

2nd Logo (2006-)

Visuals: Over a light that flashes, there is the same A&E IndieFilms logo from before, then there is a dark wall with the A&E IndieFilms logo printed over the wall.

Variants:

  • A still version exists, where the tape is only seen.
  • Starting in 2008, the A&E logo on the tape is updated.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A beep, followed by a taping sound.

Availability: Seen on A&E's films from the era, like American Teen, among others.
