Background

This is Arthur Smith's production company that was formed in 2000. In 2011, A. Smith & Co. merged with the Tinopolis Group.

Logo: On a blue background with circles, we see a cartoon TV with a plug and a blue monitor going right with the letters coming out one-by-one "A SMITH" and "CO." Then, the same TV with "&" inside the monitor zooms in, and the word "PRODUCTIONS" appears.

Variants:

  • Starting with in 2016, "a Tinopolis company" appears with a red square with three, white straight lines.
  • Sometimes, the "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" word is above the logo.
  • An enhanced version is currently used since 2009, where everything is in a purple tint and has a slightly smoother animation.

Technique: 2D animation.

Music/Sounds: An orchestral hit with typing sounds. This was performed by A. Smith and Co. co-founder Kent Weed. ABC, NBC, and Fox used a generic theme.

Availability: Common. It can be seen on its reality shows and documentaries that they produced such as Hell's Kitchen, American Ninja Warrior, Kitchen Nightmares, Paradise Hotel, The Swan, and Skating With Celebrities, among others.
