Background

ABS-CBN Studios (also known as ABS-CBN Entertainment, ABS-CBN Entertainment Department, or just simply ABS-CBN, and formerly known as BBC Entertainment Department) is a Philippine film, television production, and distribution company and the entertainment division of the Philippine media conglomerate ABS-CBN from 1962 to September 21, 1972 and since September 14, 1986, and formerly of Banahaw Broadcasting Corporation from November 4, 1973 to September 7, 1986. It was founded in 1962 with Mga Bayani sa Kalawakan as its first program. The division also has ABS-CBN Creative Communications Management headed by Robert Labayen which is responsible for designing and animating graphics for the network's programs, promos, station identities, and bumpers therefore ABS-CBN Studios is also the conglomerate's and network's in-house design agency.

As in-house production division of the main ABS-CBN terrestrial television network from 1962 to 1972 and 1986 to 2020, it originally simply used the "ABS-CBN" name and logo as YouTube account from July 15, 2008 to 2014 and as program distributor until 2021, and then began to identify itself as ABS-CBN Entertainment as distributor in January 2021 when it started to distribute its programs to broadcast companies like A2Z, TV5, GMA Network, and GTV after the loss of ABS-CBN's broadcasting franchise on May 4, 2020 that led to the main terrestrial network's sign off the following day in May 5.
