Background

ACTRA (The Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists) was also first known as ACRA (Association of Canadian Radio Artists) is a Canadian trade union representing preformers in English-language media was founded in 1943. ACRA changed their name to The Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA) in 1984.



1st Logo (1990-1992, 1999-2004)

Visuals: Scrolling up in the credits, there is a diamond with the letters "ACTRA" in a wide serif inside of it.

Variant: Different colored versions exist corresponding to the credit roll's text color.

Technique: A still, printed image.

Audio: The closing theme of the show/movie.

Availability: Seen on films funded by ACTRA from the 1990's until 2004, like Bingo and Shanghai Noon.

2nd Logo (1992-2000, 2000-2007)

Visuals: Scrolling in the credits, there is a wide rectangle which casts a shadow, with a thin sideways arc on top of it. Next to the shapes is the word "ACTRA" in a stylized font with the "A"'s bent.
