Background

ACTRA (The Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists) was also first known as ACRA (Association of Canadian Radio Artists) is a Canadian trade union representing preformers in English-language media was founded in 1943. ACRA changed their name to The Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA) in 1984.
