Background

In 1991, the game subsidiary of ASCII Corporation, Nexoft was renamed to ASCII Entertainment Software, Inc.. As time went on, the company began separating from the main company, with all operations being renamed to Agetec in 1998. During the early 90s, many games were published under the ASCIIWare software label.

Availability: Seen on the American and European release of King's Field (King's Field II in Japan, plastering the 1st FromSoftware logo) and King's Field II (King's Field III in Japan) for PS1.

2nd Logo (August 31, 1997-August 31, 1998)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a huge fire that forms the ASCII Entertainment logo from the previous logo in 2D.

Variant: A still version exists on a white or black background.

Technique: Live-action.

Audio: A sound of a fire. The still version is silent, or has the opening theme of the game.

Availability: Seen on several ASCII Entertainment games from the era, like Clock Tower, R-Types, Felony 11-79, and AeroGauge for N64.
