Background

ASUS, officially known as ASUSTeK Computer Inc., is a Taiwanese electronics manufacturer headquartered in Taipei, largely specialized in personal computers, computer components, mobile phones, networking equipment, and multimedia products. As of 2023, it is the world's 5th largest PC vendor on the global market.

Logo (2009)

Visuals: In a dark environment, a beam lights up, revealing many power buttons on the surface. The screen fades to black for a brief time before revealing a higher view of the buttons and showing off some almost transparent clouds. The screen fades to black again before showing a close-up view of the buttons. The buttons begin to light up as the camera zooms to some of them. The screen flashes to a top view of the buttons lighting up. The footage then cuts to the buttons lighting up to resemble North America at the left. The scene then cuts to reveal that the buttons light up to resemble all the world's continents. The map then wraps to form the Earth, as a few more buttons light up to create a border around the Earth. The Earth then zooms towards the screen before cutting to a close-up view of a few of the buttons. A view of some of the buttons turning off to resemble a screen splitting into multiple squares that shrink is then shown. The entire screen is then taking over by the lights again, aside from the ones that are left off. A face is formed, and it winks with its left eye. The lights that take over most of the screen then turn off, and the lights that were left off light up. The camera then rotates slightly, a flash appears at the top of the screen, and light particles appear on the positions of the buttons that emit light and fly away as the environment fades to black. The particles then fly back to the screen from the right and move to the center to form the "ASUS" logo (in stylized text, with the "A" lacking its horizontal line and a cut horizontally across the text), with "Inspiring Innovation ● Persistent Perfection" under it.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A calm electronic theme.

Availability: Appears as a pre-loaded sample video on the N61vn laptop model. It is unknown if this appears on other laptops manufactured by ASUS during the period.
