Featured Media Nominations
Shortcut:

Featured media are images and videos determined by the community to be significant, rare or otherwise interesting logo finds. These aren't your ordinary film, television or home video logos. Featured images appear in the gallery on the main page. On this page users can nominate images to be featured and vote on candidates to receive this distinction.

How to use this page:
Click "Nominate", fill out the fields and submit your nomination. Users will then be able to vote in support or opposition to the image being featured. if an image or video recieves at least a support:oppose ratio of 2:1 (two thirds majority), it passes and the proper template is added by a bureaucrat.

We discourage submitting logos solely based on its visuals. All media need to be significant to the community in terms of obscurity.

Etiquette:
Please remain civil while using this page. Per site rules and the policy, please refrain from personal attacks when discussing these images and assume good faith.

Educational Pictures in 3D

Reason: A trip through the company's library sent me to this rarity that was seen on a few obscure short films. The 3D detail on the text and lamp makes this one strange and interesting, not to mention no one has documented/captured this logo prior (correct me if I'm wrong but either way, this is still a really rare find). 20th Century Fox's first logo was actually a placeholder

Reason: Before the official logo's debut later in 1935, there was the 20th Century Pictures logo as the only majestic structure in the family. However, the then-newly merged company actually had an earlier logo that was never known in the logo community outside of an in-credit variant that appears to have no source. This on-screen logo dates to an earlier time in 1935 and was seen on an unknown short movie called Moon Over Manhattan. And oddly enough, there is a score composed for this specific placeholder that sounds nothing like the iconic fanfare we all know and love. Camenati (talk) 23:53, 3 February 2023 (UTC)

MGM's distribution logo (not under any real lion)

Reason: Here is an extremely rare MGM logo that resembles the company's print logo they used throughout the golden age of Hollywood. To add an extra layer of oddity, the logo labels the company as a distribution company, something we have not seen done on an MGM logo. It was found on a nitrate film print of Cleopatra.
