Featured Media Nominations
Shortcut:

Featured media are images and videos determined by the community to be significant, rare or otherwise interesting logo finds. These aren't your ordinary film, television or home video logos. Featured images appear in the gallery on the main page. On this page users can nominate images to be featured and vote on candidates to receive this distinction.

How to use this page:
Click "Nominate", fill out the fields and submit your nomination. Users will then be able to vote in support or opposition to the image being featured. if an image or video recieves at least a support:oppose ratio of 2:1 (two thirds majority), it passes and the proper template is added by a bureaucrat.

We discourage submitting logos solely based on its visuals. All media need to be significant to the community in terms of obscurity.

Etiquette:
Please remain civil while using this page. Per site rules and the policy, please refrain from personal attacks when discussing these images and assume good faith.

Extremely rare Doordarshan TV ident from its launch in 1959

Reason: It was only recently discovered on a single AP Archives video as shown on its video's description. Also, this is the only Indian TV ident found before the iconic 1976 Doordarshan TV ident as of now. Tanawat2002 (talk) 15:55, 11 March 2023 (UTC)

Solax Studios (1911, 2018) (From - the trailer to Be Natural The Untold Story of Alice Guy-Blaché).png

Reason: One of the few animated logos of the silent era. What makes this unique is thst films containing this logo is currently unknown (or possibly completely wiped out from existence), and only made a resurface in a 2018 trailer of Be Natural The Untold Story of Alice Guy-Blaché. Kind of odd. (Discussion area ¯\_(ツ)_/¯) 15:47, 11 March 2023 (UTC)

I believe you're mistaking this capture for the 2009 logo, which has a different sequence than this one. When you view this image's information, it's not yet featured. Camenati (talk) 18:49, 11 March 2023 (UTC)

Reason: Well to cut this story short, this is the earliest logo used for Sony Pictures. It's from the 1988 movie, Tiger Warsaw. It might seems like a normal in-credit notice, but it is animated and even has a fanfare. Here is video proof of this rare logo. https://youtu.be/tjkdVk_3n04 Davidthelogohunter (talk) 20:53, 9 March 2023 (GMT+4)

Mondo Media (1998)

Reason: Possibly the original version of this logo in general, while the later version (from 1999 onwards) is common, this version was unnoticed or didn't even have proof that it existed until December of 2022 when it was found on several of shorts for an obscure Canadian series known as Kevin Spencer, which had it's shorts on Mondo before becoming a TV show. An unknown logo of a known BBC brand

Reason: The logo for BBC Enterprises, the predecessor to BBC Worldwide, has mostly existed through in-credit versions. However, I believe this capture of the brand's on-screen logo is previously unknown and undocumented. As of this writing, you can't find a very rare logo this obscure and this good of a quality on somewhere like Alexander Street where it is found on Charles and Diana: The First Decade.
