Featured Media Nominations
Shortcut:

Featured media are images and videos determined by the community to be significant, rare or otherwise interesting logo finds. These aren't your ordinary film, television or home video logos. Featured images appear in the gallery on the main page. On this page users can nominate images to be featured and vote on candidates to receive this distinction.

How to use this page:
Click "Nominate", fill out the fields and submit your nomination. Users will then be able to vote in support or opposition to the image being featured. if an image or video recieves at least a support:oppose ratio of 2:1 (two thirds majority), it passes and the proper template is added by a bureaucrat.

We discourage submitting logos solely based on its visuals. All media need to be significant to the community in terms of obscurity.

Etiquette:
Please remain civil while using this page. Per site rules and the policy, please refrain from personal attacks when discussing these images and assume good faith.

  1. Oppose Only appearing on one movie really only qualifies something in my eyes if it is a hard movie to find. For instance, that one Nickelodeon Movies logo only appeared of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, but it isn't rare because that is a well known and loved movie. I had never heard of this movie beforehand, but looking this up, I find used DVDs on Amazon for sale for 5 bucks. So not very rare. AlmightyKingPrawn (talk) 23:53, 24 January 2023 (UTC)

Bravo_VMT.png

Reason: Up until 2022, the 2010 Bravo logo had only one known source on Sun Sea and A&E. In the last few months, I have found brand new variants of this logo, including this one from "Brit Cops". Up until this point, it was thought that all logos from the 2010 rebrands of Living and Bravo replaced the Virgin Media Television logo with a Living TV Group copyright notice, so this find was very unexpected. This particular variant was only spotted on one episode of the series, with the rest using Living TV Group notices, making it even rarer. Luke2505 (talk) 16:56, 14 January 2023 (UTC)

  • Support Contrary to what Charlie and Sickminecraft45 say, I believe this logo fits the criteria, given that it actually is rare. It's not T.A.T.-level rare, but it's not unworthy of or undeserving to be a Featured Image. · Talk · Edits 15:58, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
  • Support Absolute gem of a discovery. Very rightfully deserves a place on the featured images section. Luke2505 (talk) 16:50, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
Support Really good discovery in my opinion. The fact that people are abstaining/opposing this just because "it isn't worthy" or the fact that it's been there for months is just absurd. I and multiple others have posted finds that haven't been featured for one reason or another for months AND EVEN YEARS. That shouldn't change how a rare logo is portrayed. A new rare find will get old at some point, but it can still be considered rare unless more and more discoveries of said rare logo is found. Enough of my rant, I'll have my support. VPJHuk (talk) 10:50, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

Abstain

Abstain I don't know here. It is significant given Sony, but not so good on the RARE end of the stick given being seen for at least over 3 months. (USER TALK!) 22:25, 11 January 2023 (UTC)  Abstain I don't think this logo is worthy enough. Sickminecraft45 (talk) 04:34, 14 January 2023 (UTC)

Charlie, you didn't seem to say anything similar regarding other images you supported that've been seen for longer than three months (Paramount/Disney, textless Paramount, T.A.T., Warner Music Video).
Also, Sickminecraft45, what is your rationale? I mean, this isn't a variant of the SPT logo. · Talk · Edits 06:03, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
Why should I? (USER TALK!) 16:35, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
Actually, I voted those ones because of where you have to find them and their sources. Sometimes the logo can be used for years and only be seen on one source, hence Disney Paramount. TAT on the other hand I voted due to it's extreme find because of plastering (USER TALK!) 17:19, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
Here's a video of this logo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MhE2eW4jV4g
That should prove conclusively that this isn't just a variant of the SPT logo. · Talk · Edits 17:24, 16 January 2023 (UTC)
I should also point out that this logo is actually less common than the ones you cited (apart from the T.A.T. logo), since those ones have been seen for longer than the time this logo has been seen. · Talk · Edits 17:30, 16 January 2023 (UTC)

So I myself decided to do one last thing before I close this drama for good.
Sometimes, just learn to do research.
I logo hunt 24/7.
I don't take breaks.
And just when you found smth special, some randos show up and call your find not worthy, just because it reminds them of the TV logo of the same company.
That is disrespectful.
Not just to me, but also other logo hunters too.
This must be the last time a logo hunters' effort gets mashed into the ground.
As for people who supported it, thank you all very much.
I really appriciate it.

File:Spiffy Pictures Website Prototype Logo.png

Reason: This was discovered not too long ago and for a while people just thought it was fake due to the fan made on screen logo. Thanks to the discovery and the significance of Spiffy Pictures in the logo community, it is safe to say that this deserves a spot in the features due to being a prototype and the significance of the logo on the AVID wiki and the logo community in general. Mark V International logo.jpg

Reason: It's the rarest find I ever uploaded to this wiki. Also the source where I extracted it is rare too (Peppermint Park to be more exact). Luli Logo (talk) 19:32, 7 January 2023 (UTC)

  1. Support Peppermint Park needs a remake. It deserves more love, and a remake should give it that love. -HavocMan2000, 2:45 PM, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
