Make background sections mandatory

I believe background sections should be mandatory. Readers viewing a page may be confused or interested on what the logo or identity is for, the history of the company, what the company is known for, etc. After all, we're an encyclopedia. I think readers should be informed of what the logo is made for.

I think, if information is available on the internet, it should be included in the background section. Otherwise, something like "X is an American film production company founded by Y" should be acceptable, but only if there's no information available on the internet. What do you think?
