Notability guidelines
I think we should introduce proper notability guidelines. I have come up with a rough draft below; feel free to contribute to this: A company must fulfill one of the following:
- Must have one of their films screened in a festival/theater. For youtube exclusives then they should follow the youtube notability guidelines
- Must have an official distributor
- Must have one of their series aired on television or a paid service; for free web series such as youtube exclusives then they should follow the youtube notability guidelines
- Must have a physical release
- Must have notable news coverage
- Must have been nominated for or won at least one award
- Must have funding from sponsorship/government funded
Solar also proposed the youtube notability guidelines' subscriber minimum to be 500k instead of 1 million and tbh I agree. Less restricting but still strict enough so the average youtube user wouldn't probably be included.
