#{{Oppose|Strongest}} Twitter is a god-awful place at the moment, so I think it's safe to not go forward with setting our presence there. I suggest putting that strength onto Instagram instead since there is a better reach for a new audience than Twitter. #{{Oppose|Strongest}} it is not really compulsory to have social media accounts, and I think it is a bad time to have one. Revision as of 17:57, 28 December 2022

The wiki should possibly have social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).

Support I kind of like the idea of it, and in case Twitter gets worse we could have something like IG or TikTok. But the point is, I support that we have a social media account, and in that account we could share tidbits of logo facts similar to how Wikipedia's Twitter account shares random facts. Logohub (talk) 16:29, 26 December 2022 (UTC)

Support I was thinking of that too. How coincidental. Doctorine Dark (talk) 16:53, 26 December 2022 (UTC)

Support Originally voted "Strong Oppose", but I see this RFC has changed its goal to AVID having a social media account, not just that one social media platform we shouldn't touch until its current owner is gone. So long as we don't rely on ol' Elon, I'm cool with it. · Talk · Edits 02:22, 27 December 2022 (UTC)

Support now that it's been opened up to more than just Twitter. (name change coming soon) 02:33, 27 December 2022 (UTC)

Support Originally Abstain for Twitter, now Support because I think more social media besides the channel could work. (USER TALK!) 02:35, 27 December 2022 (UTC)

Abstain

Abstain While the idea of an AVID twitter account would be pretty cool, what would we even do with it? I mean, outages and all that jazz go to the Miraheze twitter account. Also, what if some greasy twitter users look at us as some silly logo community and just leave toxic comments everywhere. (USER TALK!) 16:34, 26 December 2022 (UTC)

Oppose

  1. Oppose I hate my own idea already. SomeGuy (name change coming soon) (talk) 02:49, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
  2. Oppose I don't think we should have a Twitter account while ol' Elon is running things. · Talk · Edits 03:06, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
  3. Oppose since the fire nation attacked, per Trevor. (name change coming soon) 03:23, 26 December 2022 (UTC)
