1st Logo (1986-1990)

Logo: On a dark background with some fireworks, a white stylised tree between the (striped) words "abril" and "video" fades-in. The word "a p r e s e n ta" appear quickly after the tree and the words fade.

FX/SFX: Pretty basic and cheesy effects for today's standards.

Music/Sounds: The 1986 Walt Disney Home Video fanfare or a majestic synth fanfare.

Availability: Seen on early releases of Disney films in Brazil.

2nd Logo (1990-1994)

Logo: On a black background, we see the same tree from the previous logo (but now colored green) zooming out while some trails slides next to the tree, which forms the words "abril" and "video" (also striped but now green). the background gradually changes to a grey wallpaper-like background with several trees.

FX/SFX: Okay CGI for the time, but very choppy by today's standards. It looks like it was done on an Amiga computer.

3rd Logo (1994-1999)

Abril Video (Brazil) - CLG WikiAbril Video (199?)

Logo: On a space background we see some filmstrip moving towards the screen (like some kind of road or tunnel). At the end of the filmstrip another filmstrip appear moving up. Inside the filmstrip is a huge gray filmstrip on a gray background, while the same tree from the previous logos along the words "abril" and "video" places in.

Variants:

  • A short variant exists.
  • Sometimes, "abril" appear above the tree, "videos" appear instead of "video"

FX/SFX: Better CGI than before, but still outdated for today's standards.

Music/Sounds: A synth rock theme.

Availability: Seen on a Brazilian VHS release of Demon in the Bottle, among others.
