Production Logos Warning Screens

1st Warning (1983?-1990)

Visuals: On the top of the screen, there is a red stripe with a white border and the word "ADVERTÊNCIA" inside. The following text scrolls up from the bottom of the screen:

O TITULAR DO DIREITO AUTORAL DA OBRA CINEMATOGRÁFICA, INCLUINDO SUA TRILHA SONORA CONTIDA NESTE VIDEOCASSETE. SOMENTE AUTORIZOU SEU USO PRIVADO E DOMÉSTICO. SEM PREVIA E EXPRESSA AUTORIZAÇÃO DO TITULAR, ESTÃO PROIBIDAS QUAISQUER OUTRAS FORMAS DE UTILIZACÃO, TAIS COMO COPIAR, EDITAR, ADICIONAR, REDUZIR, EXIBIR OU DIFUNDIR PUBLICAMENTE, EMITIR OU TRANSMITIR POR RADIODIFUSÃO, CABO O QUALQUER OUTRO MEIO DE COMUNICÃO JÁ EXISTENTE OU QUE VENHA A SER CRIADO: BEM COMO TROCAR, EMPRESTAR, ALUGAR OU PRATICAR QUALQUER ATO DE COMERCIALIZACÃO DE LUCRO DIRETO OU INDIRETO. A VIOLACÃO A QUALQUER DESSES DIREITOS EXCLUSIVOS DO TITULAR, ACARRETARÁ AS SANÇÕES CIVIS E/OU CRIMINAIS PREVISTAS EM LEI.

2nd Warning (1990-1994)

Visuals: On a black background, the following text types in:

ATENÇÃO Esta fita é para uso exclusivo doméstico. É crime fazer cópia para locação ou fazer exibição pública.

The text scrolls up to make room for the following text:

IMPORTANTE Não seja enganado com fitas piratas. Elas estragam a sua vista, o seu vídeo e o seu prazer. Suddenly a screen with the text "EXIJA FITA SELADA" slams down.

Technique: Computer effects.

Audio: A typewriter sound effect as the text types itself in, a loud thud when the second screen appears and an announcer reading the text.

Availability: Found on Disney tapes such as Cinderella (Cinderela - A Gata Borralheira), as well as Fox Video releases.

3rd Warning (1994-1999)

Visuals: On a starry sky background, the following text flips in:

ATENÇÃO! ESTA FITA FOI PRODUZIDA EXCLUSIVAMENTE PARA USO DOMESTICO. A POSSE DE CÓPIA ILEGALÉ CRIME SUJEITO A PENA DE DETENÇÃO.

The text then fades out to make room for the following text:

ATENÇÃO! AS FITAS ILEGAIS PREJUDICAM SEU VÍDEO E SUA DIVERSÃO. NÃO SEJA ENGANADO COM FITAS PIRATAS.

Technique: Computer effects.

Audio: A light rock theme, with a shining sound effect when the text flips in.

Availability: Found mostly on Brazilian Disney tapes, but was also found on Warner Home Video releases like The King and I (O Rei e Eu).
