Background
In 2008, Happy Camper Productions, the production company of television writer, producers, and husband-and-wife duo Salim & Mara Brock Akil, was renamed Akil Productions.
Logo (October 3, 2008-)
Visuals: On a white background, a symbol with a circle with 4 lines on its connection points rotates 90 degrees to the right and the hole in the symbol splits while the text "AKIL PRODUCTIONS" fades in. The background turns black, the symbol turns to a white/silver gradient and raises up a little bit, and the text turns white.
Variant: On the 2021 revival of The Game, the logo is extended to have the circle zoom out first, along with the 2 halves of the symbol inside rotate and coming towards each other, before they all interlock. The logo then continues, but ends just before the symbol splits.
Technique: 2D computer animation.
Audio:
- October 3, 2008-May 15, 2009: The music from the Happy Camper Productions logo.
- January 11-March 29, 2011: Silence.
- January 10, 2012-April 17, 2018: A piano theme.
- June 19, 2018-May 24, 2021: A 2-note violin theme.
- Otherwise, the ending theme of the show plays over it.
Availability: Seen on seasons 3-9 of The Game (as well as its 2021 revival), Being Mary Jane, and Black Lightning.
