1st Logo (1998-2005)
Visuals: On the sunset clouds background with the clouds moving (reminiscent to 1997 GoodTimes Entertainment logo) we see a P-Head rotating. Then the APT logo appears and shines. Then "ALABAMA PUBLIC TELEVISION" appears.
Technique: Rotating effects.
Audio: A two note tune that starts with a 5 note piano tune at the beginning, then it's similar to the 1996 Tyne Tees Channel 3 North East theme at the end.
Availability: Seen at the end of documentaries at the period, followed by the 1998 PBS ident or the 1999 American Public Television logo.
2nd Logo (2005-June 2, 2009)
Visuals: Over the the town square city footage (a la 1980s WQED logo), APT appears with the P-Head logo. Then "ALABAMA PUBLIC TELEVISION" appears. Then the URL fades in.
Technique: Live-action footage.
Audio: A 5 note piano tune then a 7 note rock-orchestral fanfare and an electric guitar hit at the end.
Availability: Seen at the end of documentaries at the period.
3rd Logo (June 2, 2009-June 1, 2011)
Visuals: On a black background, there is "apt". Then the P-Head logo appears. Then "ALABAMA PUBLIC TELEVISION" zooms in below.
