Background

Alan and Eric Films Limited was a film company from Hong Kong.

Logo (November 16, 1987-August 11, 1988)

Visuals: On a black background, light grey (or gold) lines wipe in one by one to fill the screen, only for them to zoom out to reveal a triangular prism shape formed with lines in a segmented form (possibly to resemble an abstract "AE"). After the logo settles down, "ALAN AND ERIC FILMS LIMITED", along with the Chinese text "好朋友影業有限公司", flashes in below the "AE".

Technique: Very simple but effective animation (the lines, zoom-out and text).

Audio: None.

Availability: Seen on their various films, like Burning Snow and Golden Swallow. The gold line variant appears on Women's Prison.
