1st Logo (September 7, 1997-February 14, 2001) | 2nd Logo (March 10, 2000-November 8, 2003) | 3rd Logo (February 28, 2002-2009) |
1st Logo (September 7, 1997-February 14, 2001)
Visuals: On a black background, there's a face made out of lines being drawn with a blue Greek "α" and a yellow crescent moon. The word "alphanim" is formed by blue smoke.
Variants:
- On seasons 1-2 of Animal Crackers, the face and words are against a white box on a cyan and blue-green gradient background. In Season 3, the box is removed and the background is a darker color and stretches out more.
- On season 1 of Mona the Vampire, it's the finished product of the animated version.
Technique: 2D animation.
Audio: The closing theme of the show or none.
Availability: Seen on the first season of Mona the Vampire and Animal Crackers. The animated variant can be seen on the first season of the 1999 series Redwall.
2nd Logo (March 10, 2000-November 8, 2003)
Visuals: On a white background is a large black ink splatter. Inside the biggest splatter is a very grungy version of the previous logo design, with "alphanim" below it in a creepy font. The company website URL is seen below the splatter. The logo is still.
Variants:
- On The Baskervilles, the logo is below the Cinar logo against a black background, with a CiTV URL in the bottom right.
- On Mona the Vampire, the logo is more close up without the URL.
- An in-credit version of the logo can be seen on Spaced Out.
Technique: Cutting effects.
Audio: The closing theme of the show.
Availability: Each show has a different variant of the logo as seen in the variants section, but the Mona the Vampire variant only appears on the second season of said show.
3rd Logo (February 28, 2002-2009)
Visuals: On a white background is an odd navy blue/sky blue swirl shape that criss-crosses at the very end of it, with two eyes in a hole in it, resembling an abstract fish. "alphanim" is seen below it. The logo is usually still.
Variants:
- An animated variant appears on Franklin and the Turtle Lake Treasure. On the same white background with a surface at the bottom, two eyes drop down from the top of the screen. They look around and blink. Then, a smile followed by the odd swirly abstract fish shape is drawn in. Once it is done, the fish winks one eye and shines as "alphanim" appears below, the logo becomes 2D, and the surface at the bottom disappears.
- An odd filmed variant of the animated version was spotted on a Polish 35mm print of the above film.
- On season 6 of Franklin, the logo is on a black background.
Technique: Cutting effects. 2D animation for the animated version.
Audio: The closing theme of the show. The animated variant features droops and blinking sounds, prior to a slide-whistle going up, an upbeat xylophone theme, a squeak sound when the fish winks and a "ding".
Availability: Appears on the last two seasons of Mona the Vampire (debuted with the 2nd season of Mona Le Vampire), as well as other shows from the company during this period such as Creepschool, Delta State, Robotboy, Potatoes and Dragons, and season 6 of Franklin.
