Background

Alta Loma Entertainment is a television production division of Playboy.

1st Logo (October 13, 1989-November 5, 1991)


Visuals: On a black marble background, a stylized two mountains is seen with "ALTA LOMA PRODUCTIONS" underneath it, with a black line sandwiched between. The logo shines.

Variant: On Posing: Inspired by Three Real Stories, the logo is still and the "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" text fades in.

Technique: 2D computer effects.

Audio: The ending theme of the show or simply none.

Availability: It was seen on After Hours and Posing: Inspired by Three Real Stories.

2nd Logo (May 10, 2002)


Visuals: On a white background, a red, shiny outline of a tilted star is seen with "ALTA LOMA" underneath it and split between one of the star's points. Underneath it all is "ENTERTAINMENT, INC."

Technique: None.

Audio: The ending theme of the show.

Availability: Only seen on Playboy: Who Wants to Be a Playboy Centerfold?.

3rd Logo (August 8, 2005-November 20, 2011)


Visuals: On a black background, a golden star is seen zooming out before tilting to the left. The same text from before, this time in white, fades in before the star shines.

Variants:

  • A still version as well as a shortened variant exists.
  • On The Playboy Club, the logo appears below (above in the pilot) the Imagine Television logo.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A whoosh, a bang, and then a deep electronic bass note. Otherwise, it's none or the ending theme of the show.

Audio Variant: Sometimes, the music is shortened.

Availability: Seen on programs during this period such as The Girls Next Door, Kendra, Holly's World, and The Playboy Club.

4th Logo (March 22, 2016-)


Visuals: On a black background, a simplistic letter "A" is being drawn, starting with its two strokes on the left, followed by its crossbar. While the latter is drawn, "ALTA LOMA" appears with a white line underneath as well as "ENTERTAINMENT" in a small text. The logo also glows during this last animated sequence before dying down.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: The ending theme of the show or simply none.

Availability: Can be seen on newer shows such as You Me Her and American Playboy: The Hugh Hefner Story.
