Background

Amaze Film + Television (also commonly known as Amaze) is a Canadian film and television production company based in Toronto founded by Mike Souther and Teza Lawrence.

1st Logo (April 8, 2005-December 2, 2013)


Visuals: On a blue, starry background, a yellow shooting star is seen flying from the bottom right to the top of the screen where a blue sphere is shown. The star makes contact with the sphere and shines, revealing "A M A Z E" in white with a burst effect.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A five-note mellow piano tune with winds and a triangle at the end.

Availability: Seen on Saint Ralph, Finn on the Fly, and Call Me Fitz.

2nd Logo (March 19, 2015-)


Visuals: On a white gradient background, blue, light blue, yellow, and lime streaks are seen emerging from various portions of the screen where they all meet at around the top half. Shortly after, the screen zooms out to include these streaks inside a dark blue circle with "A M A Z E" fading in and shining underneath.

Variants:

  • A still version exists.
  • On The Stanley Dynamic, the logo wipes in from the top right during the end credits.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A string instrument performing nine ascending notes before a two-note fanfare at the end, composed by Peter Chapman.

Audio Variants:

  • A longer version of this fanfare exists, which has ten ascending notes with a three-note fanfare.
  • Sometimes, it's the closing theme or silent.
  • In later years, a different fanfare is used. There is also an alternate version.
