Background

Amberwood Entertainment (formerly known as Amberwood Productions) is a Canadian animation studio company founded in 1988 as "Lacewood Productions". The company was changed the name to "Amberwood Productions" in 1999. Amberwood was best known as The Secret World of Benjamin Bear (in which of the characters was from the Teddy Bears specials), Hoze Houndz, Katie and Orbie (the final and fourth season) and RollBots.

Logo: On a black background, the words "Lacewood", in yellow, zoom-out from the top, along with "PRODUCTIONS", in yellowish green and in spaced out letters, from the bottom of the screen. As they meet in the center, a line flashes in between.

Variants:

• Depending on the show or special, the logo can be seen a bit smaller or bigger.
• Later in the 1990s, the words "Lacewood" are in blue and "PRODUCTIONS" in yellow.
• At the beginning of some specials, the logo is shown superimposed in white, with "PRESENTS" in-spaced out letters, below.

FX/SFX: The zooming and flashing, or none.

Music/Sounds: The opening or closing theme of the show or special, or none.

Availability: Rare. Seen intact on 1990s FHE video releases of kids' specials produced by this company, such as Bluetoes, the Christmas Elf, The Railway Dragon, The Nutcracker Prince, The Teddy Bears' Christmas, and the For Better of for Worse specials among others, and also, on some shows such as Problem Child (season 2 episodes), Monster Force, Savage Dragon (season 1 episodes) and Flash Gordon among others.

1st Logo (October 4, 1999- )

Logo: On a black BG, the words "Amberwood" and "PRODUCTIONS" (later "ENTERTAINMENT"), in green, fade in one after the other. A gold line is drawn in between.

Variant: On The Secret World of Benjamin Bear, we see a end credits border over the logo.

FX/SFX: The fading, the line drawing in. In the later years, it was none.

Music/Sounds: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Uncommon. Seen on kids' shows such as Hoze Hounds, Pumper Pups, RollBots, For Better or For Worse, Rob the Robot, and late-90s prints of Katie and Orbie.

2nd Logo (2004)

Logo: On a black background, the words "Amberwood" and "PRODUCTIONS" were shown in reverse moving and rotating forward in correct position, then the line appears, then the shine wipes and changes the color to green, then flashes twice until it holds on the letter "A", then the text "Productions" appears.

FX/SFX: CGI animation.

Music/Sounds: Same as the 1st logo.

Availability: Rare. It was only seen on Zeroman.
