Background

Ambrella was a Japanese game developer that was formed in 1996 as part of Marigul Management Inc., a joint venture between Nintendo and Recruit Co. in the late 1990s and early 2000s which consisted of several development teams that focused on smaller, experimental projects. The studio is best known for their work on several spinoffs in the Pokémon franchise, namely Hey You Pikachu!, Pokémon Channel and Pokémon Dash, in addition to the Pokémon Rumble series. In October 2020, Ambrella was absorbed into Creatures Inc. (part of The Pokémon Company) after the failure of Pokémon Rumble Rush.
