Background

Amity Entertainment was a film and television production company. Its focus was on acquiring motion pictures and children's series. It was founded on 2005 in Brentwood, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville. It has an office in New York City. Amity Entertainment filed a petition for bankruptcy on October 13, 2009.

(2006-2009)

Logo: On a black background, a mass of blue lines rotate in, partially transparent, as several rounded corner white squares appear near the middle of the screen. Eventually, the lines become solid and compress into the word "Amity" in a semi-script font and a arc curved upwards, and the white squares flash into the butter yellow text "ENTERTAINMENT" one by one.

FX/SFX: Everything.

Music/Sounds: A whooshing sound, then a chiming synth tune.

Availability: Rare. Seen on PBS reruns of The Big Comfy Couch up until 2009. Also seen on the Essential Ernest DVDs.

Editor's Note: None.
