Background

Amsterdam Televisie is a pirate television channel that started broadcasting in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, in 1982 and still exists to this day. The channel broadcasts content focused on the people, culture and history of Amsterdam, and features a lot of traditional and classical Amsterdam songs.

Logo (1982)

Visuals: A red heart with three X's in a vertical line in a black circle with the text "*AMSTERDAM* TELEVISIE" in white.

Variants: A variant featuring the text "SPORT" plastered on top of the logo in a red bar. The screen flashes and then a red heart with the text "Amsterdam Aktueel", with both words using the same capital "A" appears, which remains still for several seconds, and the text "STOPERA" in white on a black bar appears followed by two more black bars with "4 MEI" and "HERDENKING". This is the only available version of the logo in video form.

Technique: A still, printed image.

Audio: Jazz music.

Audio Variants: There are several alternate soundtracks that may play over the ident. These include
