Background

Anaconda was the adventure game division of dtp Entertainment AG, launched in 2005. In 2008, Anaconda was shut down and merged into dtp.

Logo (January 27, 2006-2008)

Visuals: On a black background, a white silhouette of a snake slithers along from bottom to top of the screen, just as five large white bands draw on-screen with a fish-eye lens effect applied. As soon as the shorter fifth band is drawn, the bands zoom out and rotate about to reveal that they were actually five capsule-shaped lines forming a abstract snake coiled on itself, while it glows a blue color. Stopping in the center, it loses its glow and moves to the left while heavily getting distorted by a ripple effect, and "ANACONDA" sliding out with said effect. They both stop rippling for a few seconds, before rippling again and disappearing in a blue flash of light.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A dramatic synth entry with hiss-like sounds.

Availability: Appears on Overclocked and Undercover. It's more common on German releases, such as Runaway 2 (including the demo version).
