Background

This is the vanity card of Friends actor Matthew Perry. Anhedonia Productions made Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (2006-2007), Mr. Sunshine (2011 ABC sitcom, not the 1986 ABC sitcom, or the South Korean drama) (2011) and the 2015 reboot of The Odd Couple (2015-2017). There was only a logo on Mr. Sunshine.

(February 9-April 6, 2011)

Nicknames: "The Rollercoaster", "...Eh", "Bored Perry"

Logo: We start with a background of a amusement park with a yellow roller-coaster (viewed from the front) full of people in the foreground, moving up a ramp of roller-coaster tracks. Painted on the front of the roller-coaster are the words in yellow "ANHEDONIA" in the cartoony font. At the front of the roller-coaster is an animated version of Matthew Perry wearing a dark red shirt, holding a brown handle attached to the front of the roller-coaster, with a bored expression on his face. As the camera follows the roller-coaster to the top of the ramp, we view a border held up over the roller-coaster ramp with the words "ANHEDONIA" on it, also done in the same color and font as on the "ANHEDONIA" text on the front of the roller-coaster. As the roller-coaster drops down quickly, the people on the roller-coaster raise their arms and scream in excitement, excluding Matthew (who just mutters an "eh," as if riding the roller-coaster was not even exciting). As the roller-coaster disappears, "PRODUCTIONS" in white text is revealed under the "ANHEDONIA" border.

FX/SFX: The panning of the logo, the moving roller coaster, the people. Looks like flash animation. Produced by Glenn Harmon.

Music/Sounds: The people on the rollercoaster (chattering as the rollercoaster goes up, shouting as it goes down) and the rollercoaster itself.

Availability: Seen only on Mr. Sunshine (not to be confused with the earlier 1986 ABC series or the 2018 Korean drama). Don't expect this on the 2015 reboot of The Odd Couple, even though Perry developed and had involvement in the series.

Legacy: A very funny logo.
