Background
1st Logo (1996-2006)
Logo: On a black background, we see a CGI render of the Animal Planet logo tilted to the right. The logo consists of a green rectangle with the white silhouette of an elephant on the right side and a rotating Earth globe suspended on the upper left corner. Below is the name stacked like so:

Variants: On Spy on the Wild, the logo is shown over a leopard print background alongside the BBC logo. Here, the logo is positioned to the right of the BBC logo and is tilted to the left. Below, "WORD CLASS TELEVISION" zooms out.

Music/Sounds: The closing theme.
Music/Sounds Variants: On Spy on the Wild, an announcer says "This has been a presentation of Animal Planet and the BBC, world class television."
Availability: Seen on The Crocodile Hunter and other original programming from the era.
