Background

Anupam Chitra was an Indian film studio that operated during the 50's and 60's. In the meantime, they only released five movies.

1st Logo (1958-1960)

Logo: We see two live-action swinging bells on a cloudy sky, with smoke rising. The words "ANUPAM CHITRA" in two lines, with "CHITRA" being more smaller, zoom in. After few seconds, the clouds and the bells fade to black, and "presents" writes in a script font. The whole logo falls down to the opening title of the movie.

FX/SFX: The bells, the smoke and the texts.

Music/Sounds: The sound of bells, then the opening theme of the movie.

Availability: Seen on its two films: Talaq ("Divorce") and Miya Biwi Razi.

Editor's Note: None.

2nd Logo (1961, 1967)

Logo: We see two bells swinging in the very dark. The camera moves down to see the unilluminated text "ANUPAM CHITRA" with something between, which are standing on stairs. A light illuminates the whole logo and the thing between the words is revealed to be a flower pot-like thing.

FX/SFX: The lights turned up and the bells.

Music/Sounds: The sound of bells (which is different from the previous logo).

Music/Sounds Variant: At the end of Pyar Ki Pyas, the bell sounds are slightly different.

Availability: Seen on its two films: Pyar Ki Pyas and Diwana.

Editor's Note: None.
