Background
Arista DVD was the home entertainment arm of Arista Records, founded in 1987 as 6 West Home Video. After Sony BMG Music Entertainment was formed, the name was eventually phased out around 2006, while the Arisa name would go dormant in 2011. The brand was eventually revived as a new flagship brand in 2018.
Logo (1998-2006?)
Visuals: On a black space background, complete with stars (with some animated) and nebula clouds, the bottom of the Arista logo ("ARISTA" in its company font) scrolls by. Many clips of Arista music videos play in the logo. After a bit, the logo shines as it scrolls upwards and eases to the middle. A couple of stars shine, then the logo flash-shines into silver. "DVD" (or "HOME VIDEO" for videocassettes) fades in below as the logo shines a couple more times before fading out.
Variant: A variant without the "DVD" text also exists.
Technique: Live-action stock footage and CGI.
Audio: It starts out with hissing, then it turns into a simple synthesized tune, which would become more majestic towards the middle of the logo.
Availability: Can be found on video releases from Arista. [Examples?]
