Background
This was the production company of Steve Martin, co-founded with production partner Bill McEuen and initial backing from Paramount Pictures.
1st Logo (December 14, 1979-August 9, 1985)
Visuals: On a black background, there is a circle containing a picture of the hills and mountains of Aspen, Colorado zooming out. It zooms out further into a rectangle, and after it stops, the words "Aspen Film Society" fade in below the circle.
Technique: None or the zoom out.
Audio: None, the closing theme of the movie or a whoosh.
Availability: Seen on The Jerk, The Man with Two Brains, Pee-wee's Big Adventure and other films.
2nd Logo (March 4, 1988-September 15, 1989)
Visuals: Same as the previous logo, but only this time it zooms out into a filmstrip shining as its moving to the left and then the words "ASPEN FILM SOCIETY" fade in but this time the words are in a perwinkle color and then the byline reading "A Division of WILLIAM E. McEUEN PRODUCTIONS".
Variant: On The Big Picture, the logo lacks the byline.
Technique: Same as the previous logo, except for the shining and the filmstrip.

Availability: Seen only on two films Pulse (1988) and The Big Picture. This is not seen on Cold Dog Soup.
