Background
Assembly Film & Television was a production company formed by William Burdett-Couts in 1993. It was sold to Chrysalis TV Group (later All3Media) in 1999.
1st Logo (1994-1999)
Logo: On a marble background, we see a red box with the word "ASSEMBLY" in black over it. Above it was "AN" and below it was "FILM & TELEVISION PRODUCTION", with info for either Channel 4 or Carlton Television and a copyright date.
Technique: None.
Music/Sounds: The end theme of the show.
Availability: Rare. It was seen on London Comedy Festival and In Exile.
2nd Logo (July 13, 2000-April 15, 2004)
Logo: On a white background ,we see a red circle with a white TV tube in it and surrounded by a purple border. Below it was the word "ASSEMBLY" in purple.
Variants:
- In 2000, the logo had the standard Chrysalis logo below the logo.
- In 2002, the logo had the Chrysalis Entertainment logo below the logo.
- In 2003, the logo had the Chrysalis TV Group logo below the logo.
- In 2004, the logo had the byline reading "an ALL3MEDIA company".
- Sometimes, the logo had the disclaimer, relating info to either BBC or Channel 4.
- On Series 3 of Black Books, the Big Talk Productions logo is shown below the logo.
