Background

Associated-Rediffusion Productions was formed as a new company in 1994 by Victor Lewis-Smith, who acquired the name and trademark to Associated-Rediffusion. This company produces comedy series and documentaries.

1st Logo (October 1997-June 1998)

Nicknames: "Another Quality Production", "Parody Spinning Star", "Satirical Adastral"

Logo: On a white cardboard, we see the Adastral star in black with a human hand twisting the star counterclockwise, sometimes missing contact with it. "ANOTHER QUALITY PRODUCTION" and "FROM ASOCIATED-REDIFFUSION TELEVISION" in white then fade in at the top and bottom respectively. Shortly after, the star falls from the cardboard box as the hand leaves the screen.

FX/SFX: Live-action.

Music/Sounds: An upbeat jingle with backup choir singing "Another swell TV show from Associated-Rediffusion!".

Availability: Extinct, only seen on TV Offal.

Editor's Note: The humorous take on the famous spinning star and jingle makes this one a favorite of many.

2nd Logo (January 11, 2000-December 3, 2005)

Logo: This is the same as the 1955 Rediffusion London logo except "presents" is replaced with "Production" and the logo is in a different font.

Variants:

On Scandal in the Bins, it appears in a split-screen format as it is squished and shares the screen with the Channel 4 logo. A copyright notice is added below Associated-Rediffusion's logo.
On BBC programs (specifically BBC Wales), the logo is normal and appears above the BBC logo with the copyright notice appearing below the BBC logo.

FX/SFX: Same as the 1955 Rediffusion London logo where the star is spinning and the text slides.

Music/Sounds: Rather than use the 1955 Rediffusion logo's jingle, the 1964 logo's theme was used here. The BBC variant has no music.

Availability: So far, this was seen on the TV movie Scandal in the Bins as well as Omnibus. The BBC variant was seen on Here's a Piano I Prepared Earlier.

Editor's Note: This is a nice callback to the old Rediffusion London logos.

3rd Logo (January 1, 2021)

Logo: This is simply the adastral star spinning on top of text that reads:

FX/SFX: Just the star spinning.

Music/Sounds: The ending theme of the movie.

Availability: Can be seen on Steve McQueen: The Lost Movie.
