Background
In 2007, the CLG Wiki was created on Wetpaint (later WikiFoundry) by Yahoo Closing Logos Group member Silversword55 , originally as an alternative to "KRS Logos", an early attempt to archive and describe logos created by Kris Starring.
On May 4, 2020, due to concern of WikiFoundry's overreliance on the now-deprecated Adobe Flash and then-ongoing disputes with WikiFoundry owner Travis, the CLG Wiki moved to Miraheze.
On September 16, 2022, after the demotion of generally disliked owners due to an incident 7 days prior, the CLG Wiki was put under new management, and 10 days later, after overwhelming consensus, the wiki rebranded into the Audiovisual Identity Database.
