Logo (June 15, 1978)
Visuals: On a black background, two layered gold lines draw in the curved, interconnected letters "AV", with the lines extending out of the box. Then, it zooms out to show the logo, within a black square, is against a gold background. Afterwards "a production of audio•visual services" and "CALIFORNIA HIGHWAY PATROL", both in a curved retro font and the former in a stacked format, fade in over and underneath the logo respectively.
Technique: Cel and motion-controlled animation.
Audio: A moog synthesized jingle plays, which consists of a few gliding ascending and descecnding notes in the first half, followed by another set of notes rising in pitch, ending with a chord.
Availability: The logo is seen on Red Asphalt II.
