ID (1992-1995)

Visuals: On an abstract cloudy background, a large gold ring fades in. Below, the then-current BBC logo appears with the word "SELECT" next to it in a Futura font. The "S" in select is surrounded by the outlne of a circle.

Variants:

  • At the end of programs is "A BBC SELECT PRODUCTION" on a blue background.
  • On a promo version, a superimposed background, the ring fades into a blue background.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A trumpet and horn fanfare when the orchestral fanfare at the end. An extended version of the music is used as filler between programs

Audio Variants: A shorter version of the fanfare exists.

Availability: Seen at the beginning and end of BBC Select programs until 1995.
