Background

BIG Pictures was the television division of Colossal Pictures. It was known for creating Liquid Television for MTV and was the animation designer of Back to the Future: The Animated Series. Colossal Pictures closed BIG Pictures in 1994.

(June 25, 1989-January 1, 1995)

Logo: Against the white background, we see a small purple square with some small text reading "BIG PICTURES" on it with "BIG" bigger above "PICTURES". Then a magnifying glass which is used by a person moves in from the bottom, enlarging the logo. There is a lot of wet-like spots on the magnifying-glass.

Variant: On Back to the Future - The Animated Series, the logo was shown on the bottom right corner along with the 1991 Universal Cartoon Studios logo on the top left, the 1991 Amblin Television logo on the top right, and the Zaloom/Mayfield Productions logo on the bottom left.

Technique: Live-action.

Audio: Two ticking sounds, followed by one drumbeat. The ending theme of the show was also used.

Availability: First seen on Betty Boop's Hollywood Mystery. Also appeared on Back to the Future - The Animated Series. However, it's intact on VHS and Laserdisc releases and the Complete Series DVD release of said show.
