Background

BMA Films was established as part of the BMA Investment Group in 1998 by Steven Lo, who also made Regal Films.

1st Logo (1999)

Logo: On a beige background, the "BMA" emerges from it and zooms back. It then changes to red and an underline appears below it. A quick-moving red streak then brings up the Chinese and English names. More Chinese text then fades in below.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A quiet swish, followed by a very high-pitched screech, that sounds like an eagle's cry, a sword clashing each other, or similar to the sound when using the Limit Break in Final Fantasy VIII.

Availability: May be seen on BMA movies during 1999, such as The Lord of Amusement and The King of Debt Collecting Agent.

2nd Logo (October 14, 2000-February 14, 2001)

Logo: We see various copies of "BMA" rotating on circles on a black/orange gradient background with moving red lens flares. Transparent big copies of another "BMA" zoom out and rotate, as later everything else turns to black and two semi-circular shapes appear fading in and rotating in between the text. Once everything takes place, a light comes from a corner of the logo and brings up a red sphere with a circular silver border. The Chinese company name, in red, and the English company name, in white, fade in respectively.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Either a news-like synth theme or just swooshes and twinkles.

Availability: It only appears on Eternal Love and Bakery Amour.

3rd Logo (September 1-November 17, 2006)

Logo: On a white background, the lowercase letters "b", "m" and "a" zoom out and spin. They join together to make the word "bma", face us and zoom back. A red rounded rectangle quickly moves in below the letters. "motion pictures limited" in white spins in from the rectangle, and the Chinese letters (with BMA before them) in black also spin in below.

Technique: Simple CGI.

Audio: A quiet ethereal theme.

Availability: It only appears on My Name Is Fame and Heavenly Mission.
