Logo: In front of a red curtain, we see a Hindu god in some sort of monument. After about five seconds, he throws a choppy-looking "beam" at the screen, and, when it disappears,
BALAKRISHNA MOVIES PRESENTS appears under the monument in yellow text.
FX/SFX: Pretty much a live-action shot edited with hand-drawn animation. The logo was colorized starting in 1973.
Music/Sounds: There are 2 music versions:
- On the Tamil film Thayin Karunai (1965) and Rani Mera Naam (1972), a quiet melody with a sitar.
- On Hifazat, A loud dramatic note that is abruptly used, after almost 5 seconds of silence.
Availability: Extremely rare due to logo being short-lived. Only seen on Thayin Karunai, Rani Mera Naam and Hifazat.
Editor's Note: The god's hand throwing the "beam" may catch viewers off guard, especially on Hifazat, where the loud accompanying fanfare makes it very surprising. Others may not be affected by this.
