Logo: In front of a red curtain, we see a Hindu god in some sort of monument. After about five seconds, he throws a choppy-looking "beam" at the screen, and, when it disappears,
BALAKRISHNA MOVIES PRESENTS appears under the monument in yellow text.
FX/SFX: Pretty much a live-action shot edited with hand-drawn animation. The logo was colorized starting in 1973.
Music/Sounds:
- On Thayin Karunai, a quiet melody with a sitar.
- On Hifazat, A loud dramatic note that is abruptly used, after almost 5 seconds of silence.
Availability: Seen on Thayin Karunai and Hifazat.
Editor's Note: The god's hand throwing the "beam" may catch viewers off guard, especially on Hifazat, where the loud accompanying fanfare makes it look very surprising. Others may not be affected by this.
