Background

Barbie Software is a vanity label of Mattel that was used in titles published by their software subsidiary Mattel Media/Interactive, and later Vivendi Universal Games.



1st Logo (October 1, 1997-1999)

Visuals: On a deep magenta background, there is the Barbie logo of the time, with the text "Software for Girls" underneath, both accompanied by registered trademark symbols. There is a disc to the left of the said text.

Variants:

  • On some games, the background appears to be purple-toned and it has a TM symbol next to the texts. There is also a shadow behind the logo.
  • On Barbie: Cool Looks Fashion Designer, the normal logo appears in a box on a cloud backdrop.
  • On Barbie: Nail Designer, the logo appears on the top left in the title screen of the game.

Technique: A computerized printed image.

Audio: None or the opening theme to the game.
