Basant Pictures
1st Logo
(1965)
Logo: TBA
FX/SFX/Cheesy Factor: The logo getting closer, which was very unexpected and unnecessary after all, especially when it's so close to a fire. And then there's that background...
Music/Sounds: A very loud, if somewhat muted, gong which repeats throughout the logo
Availability: Seen on all known copies of Nishan.
Scare Factor: Medium to high, the closeup of the logo and sudden zoom-out, along with the gong which overly repeats, while unintended, would definitely scare many poor Hindi people, especially for those who aren't expecting this logo to appear. The fire on the close-up can also contribute.
2nd Logo
(1971)
Logo: TBA
FX/SFX: TBA
Music/Sounds: An extreme solo of an tampura plays first, followed by the first part of the opening of the movie.
Availability: Seen on Shri Krishna Leela.
Scare Factor: Low. Although the music can get to you and the design of the logo is rubbish, this is tamer than the first logo.
