Background
Bastard Film was a production company founded in the summer of 2000 by Søren Steen Jespersen, Thomas Stokholm Vorf and Miki Mistrati to produce documentaries. Due to the financial failure of Blekingegadebanden, the company was acquired and dissolved into Monday Media ApS.
(August 21, 2000-March 16, 2010)
Logo: We see a cartoony dog with spots and a neutral expression zooming out. Once it stops, the grunge text "Bastard" fades in, followed by the rest to appear. The finished logo has the white text "BASTARD FILM" underneath said word and dividing them is "fiLm". As the top "Bastard" is seen slightly shaking, the text briefly and rapidly inverts colors before returning to their original colors.
Variants:
- Both an in-credit and still version exists.
- The logo is sometimes smaller.
- On The Dark Side of Chocolate, the text colors are inverted and the text "& TV" was added to the middle text.
- On Blekingegadebanden, the dog is orange and its ears are pointed upwards. Plus, the text have inverted colors.
- On Gåden om Isabelles død, the logo is inside a black box against a white background with the text "PRODUCERET AF" and "FOR" over and underneath it. Once its sequence is complete, it fades out and then the next logo fades in.
FX/SFX: The dog zooming out; the text fading, appearing, shaking, and flashing.
Music/Sounds: A short guitar ditty accompanied with a dog digging and barking.
Music/Sounds Variants:
- Sometimes, it's just the dog's noises.
- Other cases, the ending theme of the program plays over or simply none.
Availability: Uncommon; can be seen on all of their releases from The Empire to The Dark Side of Chocolate. They can be found through on-demand websites or TV airings such as DR 2's broadcast of 69.
