Background

Bend Studio is an American video game developer located in Bend, Oregon. It was founded in 1994 as Eidetic and was purchased by Sony Computer Entertainment America in 2000, now operating as a part of SCE Worldwide Studios. The studio is best known for developing the Syphon Filter series and (more infamously) Bubsy 3D for the PlayStation.

Eidetic

1st Logo (November 25, 1996)

Logo: On a black background, we see a flash on the bottom right corner of the screen, which gives way to the text "EIDETIC", which emits light shadows. As it moves to the center, three rectangles (lime green, teal and red) fly up and situate themselves beneath the text. The frontal shadows on the text die out and are absorbed into the point on the "I". A shadow forms behind the word.

FX/SFX: The text and bars flying, the shadow effects. Pretty decent animation, especially when compared to the game that follows.

Music/Sounds: A peaceful synth fanfare with some piano notes in-between.

Availability: Only seen on the infamous Bubsy 3D.

2nd Logo (February 17, 1999-March 14, 2000)

Logo: On a black background, we see a lens flare, which gives way to the same logo from before with some differences (the upper text is smaller and lacks the shadow, the same goes for the bars).

FX/SFX: The lens flare.

Music/Sounds: A whoosh sound.

Availability: Seen on Syphon Filter and its sequel.

Logo: It generally consists of the two words "bend" in a rounded font and "STUDIO". The end curve in the "n" in "bend" replaces the "I" in "STUDIO".

Availability: Seen on current games from the company, such as the Syphon Filter game series, the two Uncharted games and Renaissance: Retribution.
