Background

Berita Film Indonesia was the first film-making institution owned by the Republic of Indonesia from October 6, 1945 until its closure on 1950. Its key figures are RM Soetarto and Rd Arrifien.

Logo (1945-1950?)

Visuals: There is a shot of a camera facing rightwards while moving counter-clockwise. There is a white circle outline with "B.F.I" inside. It cuts to an arched, sans-serif "BERITA FILM" with an inverted arch "INDONESIA" at the bottom, while the screen of the camera transitions to a temple and a sky via wipe from the bottom/top. It then transitions from right/left to a shot of a field and farmers and transitions diagonally to the right of a shot of a people communicating and flames rising at the bottom. It then finally transitions diagonally to a shot of a marching people.

Variants: On Gelora, the "B.F.I" is 3D.

Technique: Live action and motion controlled animation.

Audio: A triumphant trumpet music.
