Background

The company was formed in 2000 by Greg Berlanti and Mickey Liddell. In 2006, Liddell left the company to create his own company, LD Entertainment, which also resulted a change to the company's name.

Logo: We see a dusty dark blue book in a table. The dust is blown off, revealing "BERLANTI-LIDDELL PRODUCTIONS" with two motive dots above and below it. "IN ASSOCIATION WITH" fades in on the bottom-right.

Technique: It's all live-action.

Music/Sounds: A 9-note violin strings tune. The WB airings used a voice over and a generic theme.

Availability: Seen on Everwood and Jack and Bobby.

Berlanti Productions

Logo: We see Greg Berlanti's family sitting in a living room watching television (the television set appears to be from the 1960s); Eugene Berlanti and Barbara Moller Berlanti are sitting on the couch, and young Greg and Dina Berlanti sit on the floor. The camera slowly zooms up to the television screen, as a young Greg Berlanti is blocking the TV. He moves his head to the side as the words "BERLANTI PRODUCTIONS" in a '70s style font (named Cooper Black) flash on the TV screen.

Variants:

Until 2011, the word "TELEVISION" was used originally before it was changed to "PRODUCTIONS", which debuted in the following year.
A still version exists.
On the 2013 revival of The Tomorrow People, when Julie Plec (who also owns My So-Called Company) joined Berlanti's company, the text reads "BERLANTI/PLEC" instead.
Promoting The LEGO Batman Movie, a young Greg Berlanti is replaced with the LEGO version of Batman.
On The Mysteries of Laura, the logo is next to the Jeff Rake Productions logo.

Technique: Mostly live-action with computer generated text. Done by New Wave Entertainment.

Music/Sounds: A jaunty 9-note string tune, with a voiceover (provided by Greg Berlanti himself) shouting "Greg, move your head!". Original airings used a voice over and a generic theme; nobably, Berlanti's voice could be heard over ABC's credits music/announcements on Brothers and Sisters, Eli Stone, Dirty Sexy Money and No Ordinary Family on that network.

Music/Sounds Trivia: The soundbite is actually what Berlanti's father (Eugene) used to say to him as a kid, whenever his head blocked the television screen.

Music/Sounds Variants:

A much more common abridged version exists.
On its early years (as well as on Batwoman and Superman & Lois), the voice is high-toned.
On The Mysteries of Laura, Riverdale and season 1 of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, a sped-up version exists.
On the pilot episode of Brothers and Sisters, the theme from the After Portsmouth logo is heard due to an editing error.
On Gotham Knights, the last note of the tune is cut off by the DC Comics/Warner Bros. Television logo combo.
The LEGO Batman Movie variant has Berlanti saying "Batman, move your head!".
Sometimes, the end theme plays over it.

Availability: Common on many shows from the company, such as Brothers and Sisters, No Ordinary Family, Arrow, The Flash, The Mysteries of Laura, Deception and Prodigal Son, among others. The LEGO Batman Movie variant can be seen on the Arrow episode "Bratva", The Legends of Tomorrow episode "Turncoat", The Flash episode "Untouchable", and the Supergirl episode "The Martian Chronicles".

Legacy: This logo is a favorite and is well-liked amongst fans of Greg Berlanti's works.
